On the episode of SBS's 'My Little Old Boy' that aired on the 21st, HeeChul, Kim Jun-ho, and Kim Jong-min went to sell gold to raise some emergency funds.
During the broadcast, HeeChul first brought out the trophy he received at the SBS Entertainment Awards. However, gold appraisal creator 'Ring Ring Unnie' crushed his hopes by saying, "This isn't gold."
Ring Ring Unnie firmly added, "Someone else brought this trophy in before, too. It's not gold," leading the cast members to joke that it must have been Lee Sang-min, which brought laughter to the set.
Disappointed, HeeChul then pulled out a gold key he received at a 'My Little Old Boy' team-building event. Upon seeing it, Ring Ring Unnie remarked, "This is pure gold. It looks like it's about 5 don (approx. 18.75g)." As she predicted, it was confirmed to be exactly 5 don of gold.
With an appraisal value of around 4 million won, HeeChul couldn't hide his joy. He then brought out a gold logo ornament that was once attached to a limited-edition air conditioner. This, too, was revealed to be 1 don of pure gold, drawing attention.
HeeChul then took out a heavy gold necklace, saying, "This is a gold necklace my grandfather gave me when I was a baby." After examining it, Ring Ring Unnie said, "It's pure gold. It seems quite heavy." The necklace was revealed to be 20 don of pure gold, worth over 15 million won at current market prices, making everyone envious. Overwhelmed, HeeChul said, "Grandfather, your grandson will live life to the fullest."
Following this, HeeChul was further surprised when a liquor cup he had received as a prize on a show was also revealed to be 20 don of pure gold.
